ONU Holds Annual GLOW 5k Run/Walk

Students from Ohio Northern University lit up the night last week to bring awareness to those struggling with mental health, and to let them know they are not alone. ONU President Melissa Baumann joined students on campus for the Second Annual GLOW 5k Run/Walk. The event is hosted by the Ohio Northern University Committee for Mental Health Prevention and Awareness during National Suicide Prevention and Awareness Week.

The Upper Scioto Valley Board of Education has established the RAMS Distinguished Alumni Award in 2023. Ben Logan High School Holding Cheerleading Camp

The Benjamin Logan High School Cheerleading program is hosting a youth camp. The dates are September 28 from 4 until 6 and September 29 from 5 until 7 in the Multipurpose Building. The participants will cheer on the track at 7 on September 29. The cost is $30 per camper, which includes a t-shirt.

Village of Ada Receives $750,000 Neighborhood Revitalization Grant

State of Ohio officials announced last week that nearly two dozen communities around the state will receive funding to complete critical infrastructure and neighborhood improvement projects that improve quality of life for local residents. OSP Releases Results of Marion OVI Checkpoint

The Ohio State Highway Patrol released the results of an OVI checkpoint held in Marion this past Friday. The checkpoint was held Friday evening September 15 on Mount Vernon Avenue near Forest Lawn Boulevard in Marion. Officers made contact with 694 vehicles that passed through the checkpoint.  Nine vehicles were diverted for further investigation and three impaired drivers were arrested for OVI.
