A Kenton City Council member was arrested this (Monday) afternoon. 55-year-old Steve Walter, who represents the city's 3rd Ward, is being held on charges of strangulation and domestic violence. The 2025 Hardin County Fair is officially underway. The Opening Ceremony was held at the new gazebo. Opening remarks were presented by Hardin County Agricultural Society President Jake McFadden. A man who was indicted for the murder of a Mt. Victory man in 2022 died last week, and the indictment against him was dismissed. According to the Hardin County Common Pleas Court document, 50-year-old Anthony Allen Browne died on August 19. As a result, the indictment on a charge of aggravated murder was dismissed, and all pending warrants were ordered recalled. Multiple search warrants were served by in the 100 blocks of Shinkle Street and Western Avenue in Findlay Wednesday night. The Hancock County METRICH Drug Task Force and the Hancock County Special Response Team assisted the FBI and Task Force Officers.
